Julians Byron Bay Newsletter

Summer 2016

“Change is as good as a holiday” and here at Julians Apartments we embrace that ethos wholeheartedly.  After all, this is the premium holiday destination in the whole wide world (let’s hear it for Byron Bay with a loud ‘hippie hippie hooray’) and now that Julians has had an amazing ‘make-over’ there is even more reason to return to our welcoming arms.  We have marbled, paved, gardened, painted, refurbished apartments, added furniture and water features and generally made Julians look even more beautiful, just for you!

Everyone loves a change: it refreshes our perspective; creates a new awareness and rejiggers our discombobulated psyche (and that is no mean feat).  Holidays do just that by offering another environment from our own home, and what better way to ‘rejigger’ than to book a stay at refurbished and revamped Julians in the ever-changing sands of Byron Bay?

Some things do stay the same, however: not just the warm welcome from Julians’ staff; or the same attention-to-detail; or the local knowledge and suggestions we offer to make your first-time (or return visit) stay with us a complete experience.  At Julians we are building a relationship with our guests and without you, where would we be?  To this end, we are offering 2015 rates for the entire 2016 calendar, for those wonderful return visitors who have embraced Julians as their ‘home away from home’ when visiting beautiful Byron for their second, third, fourth (you get the drift) time.

Courtyard and balcony apartments, as individual as our holiday makers, still offer quality self-catering accommodation: you can visit us eleven times without having to stay in the same apartment twice!  That is eleven individual experiences, under the one roof, with beach access a short walk across the road, onto Clarks Beach.

Book ahead for 2016 and the management at Julians will afford you the best deal you have come to expect, know and love.  We value our guests and strive to be your ‘apartment of choice’.  Your holiday experience is of paramount importance and to this end, booking direct with us as a return visitor you will instantly score 10% off your next holiday accommodation booking.  First time booking at Julians?  Mention this newsletter when you book and we will have a bottle of wine waiting for you at check-in!

Christmas and New Year sees Byron hotting up with so many fun-in-the-sun adventures, you would be hard-pressed to spend any time in your fully-equipped apartment, creating your own organic, fresh farmers-market-produce wholesome meals for your loved ones.  Even though the shopping in Byron is second-to-none, the choice of restaurants and fine-food eateries is so prolific, you would have to spend a month eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner, just to sample some of them!  Ask at Julians for our favourites, we are so gourmet-savvy, we have had to loosen our belts…….

After quality food indulgence, what better way to explore Byron than walking along the beach and up through Cape Byron Headland to the Lighthouse, experiencing the coastal vegetation, checking out the Cape Byron Marine Park and spotting the odd sea creature.  Prefer to fling yourself from a plane?  Or kayak with a group?  Surf or walk with an eco tour?  Ballooning?  Perhaps just take yourself for a pampering spa day?  Or purchase that hippie item you’ve been ‘tie-dying’ to wear since you were a teenager, from one of the local Byron Markets…. so much to do, you are spoilt for choice!

If you have already been fortunate enough to book your Christmas and New Year accommodation well in advance, you may want to check out the Falls Festival at North Byron Parklands, bringing you “tunes from around the globe to your local frontal lobes” with a bit of art thrown in.  You can also check out the art at the new Byron Library Lone Goat Gallery, with local artists and exhibitions changing on a regular basis.  Did you know that the Northern Rivers has more purveyors-of-arty-bits than anywhere else in Australia?  Byron is the hub of creativity – go ahead, immerse yourself in it!

New Year’s Eve kicks off celebrations with the Byron Community Centre hosting a family friendly event with interactive shows at allocated spots along Jonson Street and full market stalls (with food, face painters, local bands etc) at Railway Park.  Fire twirlers, drummers, amusement rides and children’s activities, kicking off at 2pm on Thursday 31st December.

Want to travel further afield?  The Brunswick Valley Woodchop, a family friendly event, runs from Saturday, January 9 through to Saturday, January 16.  Check out their website for details and times.

Summer is way too awesome, we cannot possibly outline all the fun and fantasy you can immerse yourself in when staying at Julians Apartments – you will just have to come here (or come back) to experience it for yourselves.  Fresh-faced Julians: we are waiting to welcome you home……….
